In this deeply rejuvenating 1 hour class we investigate the practice of Yoga Nidra. We first prepare ourselves with centering exercises that include breath and simple movement then class culminates with a ~30 minute Yoga Nidra practice.

What to bring: pads, mats, pillows or blankets. During this class, you will lie still for 30 minutes and you want to as comfortable as possible.

This class will take you through the principles of Pilates that focus on breath, coordination, balance, and of course core strength. Core is not just your abdominals, your core includes your hips and lower back as well. If you have a strong core the rest of your body will strengthen with ease.

Healing Through Words - Poetry
Join Wil Gibson in exploring the healing power of words through poetry. All writing levels and skills are welcome. During this hour and a half class, you will experience many different aspects of the art of poetry. 
• First, you will hear a poem that will set the class mood for the day and give topics of opening discussion and inspiration points. 
•Relavent writing prompts will be given.  
•Followed by quiet writing time. Help and guidance will be provided if needed. 
•This class will end with a safe space to share your writing if desired. Editing advice will be available  UPON REQUEST ONLY. 
Wil Gibson has been publishing poetry and touring the country for the last 20 years and conducting workshops for the last 10. You can find more information at wilgibson.com.
Self Coaching with Sarah

Weekly 90-minute class teaching The Model – the one tool used by certified life coach school graduates to help transform lives.

Participants will have the opportunity to receive coaching using The Model to experience how it works. You will be guided using The Model yourself and developing a powerful self-coaching practice you can use in your life.

This group learning environment offers a safe and supportive place for personal transformation and growth.

Each week I’ll open the class by sharing a concept that supports personal transformation. Then we’ll review The Model and dive into self-coaching and coaching.

I’ll provide notebooks and pens.

Emily is a light-hearted teacher who is drawn to yoga because it continually brings her home to herself. She loves to practice and teach yoga on the beach, under the redwoods, and in the mountains and finds joy in using music to guide the practice.

She believes our own bodies are our greatest teachers, and creating space to experience them aligns us with our hearts and our inner wisdom. She focuses on building a strong foundation and encouraging an individual practice. Her aim is to help students feel grounded in their bodies so they may bring their clearest, most vibrant selves to express and experience life.

Class Description:

A flowy vinyasa practice designed to be accessible for all levels. This class brings in enough movement to feel challenged and energized while maintaining space to find stillness and remain grounded. Always set to a  lively playlist, the aim is to have fun and leave class feeling a bit more yourself!

Gentle Yoga With Ann - Noon Class

The Noon Class: Hatha Yoga for Everyone: Suitable for all ages and abilities, this class offers a slow mindful pace with plenty of time to steep in the postures. A gradual warm up with breath work is followed by stronger poses that can be modified to suit any level. A gentle cool-down and relaxation conclude each class. Please bring a blanket for support.

Ann Constantino has taught yoga in Southern Humboldt since 2005. She has been specializing in restorative yoga since 2015. The joy of yoga is in its ability to foster self-knowledge and exploration that helps the practitioner feel more connected to the life force shared by all beings.

The 1:15 class Restorative Movement: This is a relaxing class featuring breath work, gentle range of motion exercises, stretching, balance and a few osteoporosis-preventing weight bearing postures. Suitable for all ages and abilities. Please bring at least one blanket for comfort and support. While much of the class is done on the floor, it is possible to do this class entirely in a chair.

Learn about different nutrition topics in each class, like eating for health where you’ll learn how to incorporate complex carbohydrates, plant-based proteins, and clean easy to digest fats into your diet. Learn about your constitution and what diet direction is best for your individual needs.

We will cover the basics of Ayurvedic doshas and when it’s appropriate to apply a building, balanced, or cleansing diet approach.

Amy Aiello is a certified Nutrition Consultant and Ayurvedic Practitioner. Integrating Ayurvedic diagnostics and whole food nutrition Amy creates personalized programs to support your individual needs. Providing meal plans, recipes, and lifestyle adjustments. Incorporating local and seasonal foods whenever possible. Amy supports you in slowing down and tuning in to the relationship of what we consume and it’s a direct effect on our well being. As an educator, Amy provides you with up to date nutrition facts as well as accessible ways to apply eastern modalities into a western lifestyle. With over 15 years of experience in natural health, Amy passionately assists you in creating sustainable patterns that support health and long term wellness. Amy has an educational background in western and eastern herbalism, aromatherapy, Ayurveda and Whole Foods nutrition. Studying with various teachers such as Jane Bothwell, Candis Cantin, David Crow, Jade Shutes, DeAnna Batdorf, and Bauman College.

She believes food can be medicine transforming diseased states into thriving vitality.
