HPRC is committed to supporting a healthy and happy Humboldt County

Humboldt Patient Resource Center is a dispensary in Arcata and Eureka. Since 1999 HPRC has been committed to health and well-being. In 2018, HPRC opened the Connection HPRC to support community events and education. The Connection is currently hosting classes and events that focus on a healthy lifestyle. Classes are offered at a suggested donation sliding scale of $0-$10 per class.

Classes are open to everyone. Registration is not required for most classes, so drop in as your schedule allows.

Join Wil Gibson in exploring the healing power of words through poetry. All writing levels and skills are welcome. During this hour and a half class, you will experience many different aspects of the art of poetry.

• First, you will hear a poem that will set the class mood for the day and give topics of opening discussion and inspiration points. 
•Relevant writing prompts will be given.  
•Followed by quiet writing time. Help and guidance will be provided if needed. 
•This class will end with a safe space to share your writing if desired. Editing advice will be available  UPON REQUEST ONLY.

Join Caitlin for a Vinyasa flow yoga class. This dynamic style of Hatha yoga joins physical postures or asanas. We will focus on the breath in this practice and create a steady internal rhythm. The class is designed to cultivate heat in the body, with creative sequences that build strength, flexibility, and body awareness.

Caitlin has spent her life dancing, hula hooping, and practicing yoga. In 2016, Caitlin went to India and studied yoga and meditation. In Rishikesh, she completed an RYT 200 Yoga Alliance Certification. More recently, she has started sound healing, teaching, and meditation.

She believes our own bodies are our greatest teachers, and creating space to experience them aligns us with our hearts and our inner wisdom. She focuses on building a strong foundation and encouraging an individual practice. Her aim is to help students feel grounded in their bodies so they may bring their clearest, most vibrant selves to express and experience life.

Class Description:

A flowy vinyasa practice designed to be accessible for all levels. This class brings in enough movement to feel challenged and energized while maintaining space to find stillness and remain grounded. Always set to a  lively playlist, the aim is to have fun and leave class feeling a bit more yourself!
